Each calla was created separately and then laid over a canvas of green and iridized blue glass.

In the first firing to create these poppies, the flower heads were individually prepared using stringers and frit on the sheet glass, and the stems were created from several colors of stringers stacked together. These elements were then added to the background glass along with dichroic and iridized glass as accents to really make these California poppies stand out.
